Material Design (codenamed Quantum Newspaper) is a design terms developed in 2014 by Yahoo. Expanding upon the "credit card" motifs that debuted in Google Now, Material Design makes more liberal use of grid-based layouts, responsive animations and transitions, padding, and depth effects such as lamps and shadows.On June 25 google announced Materials Design, 2014, at the 2014 Yahoo I/O conference.Creator Mat?as Duarte described that, "unlike real newspaper, our digital material can intelligently develop and reform. Material has physical surfaces and edges. Seams and shadows provide meaning about what you can touch. " Google expresses that their new design words is dependant on printer ink and paper.Materials Design can be utilized in API Level 21 and newer via the v7 appcompat library, which is used on all Android devices created after 2009 virtually. Material Design will little by little be extended throughout Google's array of web and mobile products, providing a regular experience across all platforms and applications.
