Material Design (codenamed Quantum Newspaper) is a design vocabulary developed in 2014 by Yahoo. " Google states that their new design language is dependant on ink and paper.Material Design can be utilized in API Level 21 and newer via the v7 appcompat library, which is used on all Android devices produced after 2009 virtually. Material Design will slowly but surely be extended throughout Google's array of web and mobile products, providing a constant experience across all applications and platforms. Google has also released application programming interfaces (APIs) for third-party developers to incorporate the design language into their applicationsBy 2015 almost all of Google's mobile applications for Android experienced applied the new design terminology, including Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Yahoo Docs, Sheets and Slides, Yahoo Maps, Inbox, every one of the Google Play-branded applications, also to a smaller amount the Stainless- internet browser and Google Keep.
